Anastacia Devlin
Anastacia
Devlin
My name is Anastacia, a family name from my mom’s side. But like many children of immigrants, most people can’t pronounce it.
I tell people to think of the “a’s” as “uh’s.”
“Uh-nuh-stuh-see-uh.” Close enough.
Growing up, most people called me
“Anna-stih-see-uh,” and started thinking my name was spelled Anasticia.
That’s where “Stici” came from, but it became so much more. Strangers, teachers, acquaintances all tried to pronounce Anastacia. But my friends, people who really knew me, started calling me Stici.
Why do I want you, unknown viewer, to call me Stici? Because seeing my work is just one step in getting to know me. But the first step is knowing what to call me.
So please, check out my work, get to know a bit about who I am and what I do, and call me Stici. Thanks!
